The Trump administration has taken many actions to restrict immigration and deport undocumented individuals since January 20th, 2025. However, it is difficult to know exactly what to expect and we do not have any precise information regarding how your cases will be affected for now as things are still developing.
Current clients should rest assured that we will diligently review your cases and inform you if any new policies affect them and are conducting a review of current cases and contacting clients if we believe there are any proactive steps that can be taken in advance.
We are happy to continue consulting with new clients and to provide case analysis based on current immigration strategies and pathways to lawful status.
Now, more than ever, it is important to know your rights should you have contact with immigration officials. Please see ACLU and AILA guidelines regarding what you should do in various situations.
Generally, you should have proof of current immigration status with you if you are an immigrant and have lawful status, a copy of receipt notices if you have a pending application, and proof that you have been in the United States for over two years if you do not have status.
The Logan Firm will remain available to help you face whatever challenges await us during the next four years.
